To whom it may concern,
I have been studying at Damelin for the past two years and I would like this opportunity to thank my teachers.
I would like to thank Grant Nethlands in particular. Grant taught me in the last year of my studies and without him our class would not be where we are today.
Grant has really been an amazing teacher due to the fact that he is truly committed and passionate about what he does. He has been there for us as a class and as an individual. He is an inspiration to all of us and he always encouraged us to do our best.
Grant never let us down and always had something new for our lessons. He is punctual and has a great work ethic. It was really good to have a teacher who was so positive and outgoing. He is always full of energy and always has a smile on his face.
Grant took us on class outings to experience what it’s like in the real world. We went to Ogilvy and had coffee afterwards to discuss our outing. We went out as a class to look at corporate identities and menus. Grant also invited us to watch him performing in a band.
Grant is really an awesome teacher and I will miss him. I wish him all the best in the future.

Grant Netherlands was an exceptional lecturer.

he was enthusiastic as well as encouraging. He showed me how learning could enhance
creativity, spark interests and uncover hidden talents that I never knew I had.
He never disappointed us and he never gave up hope when times seemed hopeless.

I want to say thank you for being an awesome, passionate and understanding lecturer. In such a short space of time, you have not only been a lecturer, but have also become a mentor and friend. I speak not only for me in the time I have gotten to know and work with you, but also for the second year graphic class.
Your experience is, like you said at the beginning, worth the weight in gold, and with that, has inspired and motivated us to do so much more. I definitely have learnt a lot and have become more comfortable in experimenting in different programs, from Photoshop to Illustrator to Freehand, just to name a few; to producing top-quality and professional work.
You are driven, energetic, passionate about the discipline of design and the big industry that it is, open-minded, and always willing to help with anything. These are qualities that are greatly appreciated and I thank you again for all of the above and, of course, for you being yourself.
